Dye Solar production in third world
Deadline:
2012-05-03 (All day) America/New_York

Dye solar cells are promising third generation of solar cells.
Instead of silicium, a dye is used to transform light to electricity.
For technical details see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dye-sensitized_solar_cell
All solar dyes are not equals, and the most effective ones are expensive to produce.
Instead of focusing on "the most effective" why not focusing on "the most efficient"?
We need to find and test various easy-to-produce dyes (like toothpaste, tested for chlorophyl) and find a efficient one (low cost, easy to produce but efficient enough).
Ultimately this dye and solar panels will be produced in poor countries.
Hope you'll join us and share your ideas and expertise.
